Seattle

May 24 - 25, 2008

When I returned to Vancouver in February, my good buds Rose and Joe had both already left for the USA. So it was sad coming back and not having them there. Anyways, on Friday evening I received a call from Rose asking if I wanted to meet them in Seattle the next day. I only thought about it for a mere second before saying "Sure, Why not?!" I hadn't seen them in 5 months, I've never been to Seattle and Seattle is only 2.5 hours away. A $28 bus ticket and a few hours on the bus, Fi and I were in Seattle!

I heart Seattle!

Space Needle:

Sampler of Clam Chowda:

We had to wait for Rose & Joe to arrive from wherever they were in Washington State. So what did Fi and I do while we waited?? Drink of course!

Yay! Joe & Rose arrive. First stop... Hooters! For the UFC fight, wings and BEER!!!!

I heart Hooters!

We heart Hooters!

Let's all try on Joe's glasses!

I heart Hooters!

View of the Space Needle from the hotel room:

I had to put this picture of these vacuum sacks that Rose and Joe use in their travels. The bags are squeezed of all its air and compresses their clothes. This picture displays their entire wardrobe... literally...

Sometimes I don't realize my own strength...

Fi told me the drawer was fake and hence it wouldn't open. But of course I didn't believe her and accidentally broke it... making a fake drawer into a real one...

whoopsy...

We like to dry hump our friends...

"smack that"

Wine from a gas station... yes we're classy like that...

Hey I have an idea. Let's go buy some alcohol from the gas station, go down to the harbour and drink our faces off! YAY!!!

Cheers!

Jumping Shots! (which probably wasn't the greatest idea while we were inebriated and by the barrier-free water's edge. Luckily no one fell in!)

Sometimes I like to jump into water fountains...

Space Needle:

Joe's Comment:

This is hilarious. Look at the 2 guys on the left.

"Hey mammies! Bring some of that sugar here"
-cell phone dude

"the girls have fine behinds, but your ass is even sweeter James"
-Closet homosexual best friend.

Pike Market:

Seafood Galore! (a sneak peak as to what I'll be seeing in Alaska!!!)

Pike Market is known for the throwing of the fish!

Talk about a multi-tasker. He's not only balancing 3 hula-hoops on his mouth, but also playing a guitar, a harmonica, and finally another hula hoop around his waist.

Clam Chowda in sour dough bread:

Bubble Gum Wall:

Together again...

Some final scenes of Seattle:

What can I say about Seattle? It's a great city. I think it's a cross between San Francisco and Vancouver... right on the water, great food, and great times. Therefore... I heart Seattle.

San Francisco: Karli Turns 4!

May 8-18, 2008

At the request of my niece (and really, how can I say "no" to such a cutie!), I hopped on the plane to San Francisco to celebrate Karli's 4th Birthday.

Karli absolutely loves all the princesses, in particular, Sleeping Beauty.

Karli didn't only get 1 but 2 Princess Balloons.

Karli had a big Princess-themed BBQ birthday party.

I like to think I teach my nieces and nephews the important things in life...

Karli with her Mommy!

Blowing out her birthday candle on her Princess cake of course...

You can never be too old for pigtails!

Mother's Day Brunch:

"Nose Touch"

"Cheek Touch"

"Funny Faces!"

"We're cute as a button!"

Mommy and me...

Being Silly with Mommy...

We're cool like that...

For Karli's birthday I got her a pet fish. Her very first pet. She named her Feddie.

Feddie the fish.

Karli wanted to ensure Feddie was well looked after by the Princesses...

A drawing for Auntie!!!

Yoga is all the rage amongst the 4 year olds!

Yes, she is 4 and she knows how to do downward dog, star and bridge (among other yoga poses)

Tree pose!

Karli's pink room. Just like her Auntie she loves pink!

Blow-up Jumper in the backyard. Just about the funnest thing ever!!!

sometimes I wonder if I am having more fun than my nieces and nephews...

We love wearing our dresses!

I wear my sunglasses....

Ayden Zeyrek. What a cutie!

After seeing pictures of Ayden, I finally got to see him in person!

Hee hee, I got him this dog hat and pirate dog. I think the dog is the size of Ayden. ha ha haa.

Sigh, so another trip to San Fran has come and gone. The one great thing about being in Vancouver is that the trip to San Fran is only a 2 hour flight away!
